“The new Suprema FAP30 certifiable fingerprint scanner has been designed to provide the best reliable fingerprint authentication performance across dynamic environments, such as outdoor and mobile situations.” – Bogun Park, CEO, Suprema ID
Suprema ID says it has developed the industry’s slimmest FAP 30 fingerprint scanner, and that it will make its debut at this year’s Trustech event in Frances.
The as-yet-unnamed device features IP65 dust and water resistance, and is able to operate in direct sunlight of up to 100,000 LUX. It uses an optical sensor, and features Suprema’s Live Fingerprint Detection to help counter potential spoofing attempts. Suprema has not indicated the product’s dimensions, but said in a statement that it is “the world’s slimmest fingerprint authentication scanner” with FAP 30 certification.
In a statement announcing the new solution, Suprema ID CEO Bogun Park explained that the device “has been designed to provide the best reliable fingerprint authentication performance across dynamic environments, such as outdoor and mobile situations.”
Suprema will showcase the solution, along with devices from its BioMini product line, from booth F041 at Trustech 2018 in Cannes. The company’s participation in Trustech comes soon after appearances at the ISC East security conference in New York and at Security Essen 2018 in Germany.
