Association of Automatic Identification and Mobility
Founded in 1972, the AIM represents automatic identification and mobility technology solution providers to promote the adoption of emerging technologies such as biometrics. The main goal of AIM is to provide unbiased information, standards and applications for these technologies. It proposes solutions of technology implementation including a very complete purchase guide.

The site hosts a suite of introductory documents on various aspects of biometrics technology. It is the central source of information on biometrics-related activities of the Federal government in the US.


Biometrics Institute

The mission of the Biometrics Institute is to promote the responsible use of biometrics as an independent and impartial international forum for biometric users and other interested parties. It was founded in July 2001 responding to an industry need for an impartial forum for sharing knowledge and information about biometrics.


Biometric Research Center, Hong Kong Polytechnic University
The Joint Biometrics Research Centre is a base dedicated to both advancing the frontiers of research in the multidisciplinary area of biometric computing and to being on the cutting edge in developing biometrics technologies.


British Security Industry Association (BSIA)
The British Security Industry Association is the trade association for the private security industry in the UK. Our members provide over 70% of UK security products and services and adhere to strict quality standards.


Center for Biometrics and Security Research (CBSR)
The Center for Biometrics and Security Research (CBSR) is founded by the Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CASIA). CBSR aims to research and develop cutting-edge biometrics and intelligent surveillance technologies and applications, and to develop biometric standards, databases and protocols and perform biometric product testing.


International Biometric Industry Association (IBIA)
The International Biometrics & Identification Association (IBIA) is a trade association founded in September 1998 in Washington, DC that promotes the effective and appropriate use of technology to determine identity and enhance security, privacy, productivity, and convenience for individuals, organizations, and governments.


International Association for Identification
We are the oldest and largest forensic association in the world. This professional forensic association represents a diverse, knowledgeable and experienced membership that are assembled to educate, share, critique and publish methods, techniques and research in the physical forensic science disciplines.


International Biometric Foundation
Launched in December 2003, The International Biometric Foundation (IBF), owned and operated by Smartex Limited as part of the UK Smart Card Club, draws together on a regular basis, government, academia, industry, media and users of biometric technology and their related suppliers.


The International Biometric Society
The International Biometric Society is an international society promoting the development and application of statistical and mathematical theory and methods in the biosciences, including agriculture, biomedical science and public health, ecology, environmental sciences, forestry, and allied disciplines.


International Professional Security Association (IPSA)
The International Professional Security Association (IPSA) is a membership body for individuals and companies working in security and associated roles. The Association was formed over 50 years ago to ensure professionalism in the management of security operations.


Joint Research & Development Laboratory for Advanced Computer and Communication Technologies (JDL)
JDL is a research unit specialized on multimedia, communication and intelligent human-computer interaction, aiming at the kernel researches in intelligent wide-band network multimedia systems, as well as the development of the key applications in these fields. JDL was founded in March 1996, originally as a joint laboratory cosponsored by the Motorola US and the National Center on Intelligent Computers (NCIC) Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.


The Russian Biometric Society

The Russian Biometric Society (RBS) – the largest membership non-profit organisation in the Russian Federation for individuals and companies developing biometrics technologies. RBS was founded in December 2002. RBS represents the Secretariat of Technical Committee for Standardization 098 “Biometrics and biomonitoring” (GOST R).
