Aratek has announced that it will be taking its TruFace facial recognition terminals to the Middle East for the Intersec 2020 event in Dubai. Aratek’s wares can be found at Booth #2-A29 for the duration of the event, which runs from January 19-21.
“We are excited to show the Arab market how Aratek’s multi-biometric technology can help solve problems in security and safety,” said Aratek International Sales VP Samuel Wu. “Since the live face detection system requires no extra hardware, TruFace is a cost-effective solution for border control, access control, secure identification, and more.”
The TruFace terminal was first released back in October, leveraging the company’s TrustFace facial recognition algorithm to carry out live face detection. The terminal is available in BA8100, BA8200, and BD8500 models, the latter two of which also feature fingerprint recognition.
The new BM7550 terminal, meanwhile, introduces NFC capabilities, and supports USB Type-A, Micro USB, and RJ45 technology.
Aratek will be showcasing its Marshall handheld in addition to the TruFace terminals. The Marshall is a portable fingerprint registration and matching solution that can be integrated with FAP20, FAP30, or FAP45 scanners.
Aratek is targeting the Middle East as part of a broader expansion effort, and believes that the region will be vital to the company’s prospects moving forward. The TruFace terminal previously appeared at TRUSTECH 2019 in Cannes.
