TRUSTECH 2017 is right around the corner, and biometrics are going to take a big part of the spotlight. Organizers of the event have announced that it will feature a high-profile conference track covering “Biometrics for Authentication”, which will run from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 28th.
In a statement announcing the event, TRUSTECH organizers asserted that “biometrics is becoming an emblematic technique for strong authentication” and is increasingly finding its way into consumer applications, with a growing number of smartphones and PCs incorporating biometric sensors. Elaborating further, Accenture Senior Manager Daniel Bachenheimer, who will chair the conference track, noted that this trend “has changed the perception of many millions of people who associated fingerprint capture with a criminal booking processes to one where fingerprint capture enables a seamless log in experience.”
The excitement ahead of TRUSTECH echoes that seen at the recent Money20/20 event in Las Vegas, where biometric technology once again proved to be a blockbuster topic for the financial services-focused crowd. At TRUSTECH, the buzz is expected to reach over 13,000 attendees from around the world, many of whom will probably have biometric technology right in their pockets in the form of smartphone fingerprint sensors.
TRUSTECH 2017 will run from November 28th to November 30th in Cannes, France.
