ID Talk Podcast: IDEMIA's Matt Thompson on the Evolution of Mobile ID

We are nearing the end of unpacking FindBiometrics’ 17th annual Year in Review Survey. In celebration of a new decade in biometrics, we are interviewing identity industry leaders on the ID Talk Podcast, discussing major milestones, trends and topics from biometrics throughout the past ten years.

That’s why on this latest episode, we are pleased to present Matt Thompson, Senior Vice President, Civil Identity for North America at IDEMIA, in conversation with our host, Peter Counter, Editor in Chief at FindBiometrics.

Thompson speaks about how attitudes towards identity have changed over the past ten years, paving the way for IDEMIA’s mobile identity technology. He and Counter go on to talk in depth about the functionality of the mobile ID and its successful deployments, as well as what the future of will look like once the problem of converged identity is solved.

They conclude with some talk about the FindBiometrics Year in Review findings, speculating what markets might begin to play a bigger role in the evolution of identity technology as we move ahead.
