Hong Kong Trade Show Aligns with BIO-key Business Strategy

“As we progress plans to set up support sales and marketing teams in India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and China, the Global Sources Gifts & Home Show enables us to meet with potential resellers, distributors, and OEM partners that could help extend the reach and sales of our products across Asia.” – Kelvin Wong, Managing Director for Asia, BIO-key

BIO-key is planning to showcase its TouchLock biometric padlocks at the Global Sources Gifts & Home Show this week in Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Trade Show Aligns with BIO-key Business StrategyLaunched in the US last autumn, BIO-key’s biometric padlocks have quickly become an important component of BIO-key’s solutions portfolio, with the company having unveiled an extended lineup including bike locks and Bluetooth-enabled locks at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show. Their importance was further underscored in BIO-key’s latest fiscal update, with sales having helped to drive a substantial increase in revenues for the company.

Given this rising profile, the TouchLock devices were named one of the three pillars of BIO-key’s business strategy for 2018 by CEO Mike DePasquale, along with a stronger focus on the Asia region and an expansion of OEM relationships. The Global Sources Gifts & Home Show thus presents an opportunity for BIO-key to reinforce all three pillars at once; commenting in a statement, BIO-key’s Managing Director for Asia, Kelvin Wong, explained, “As we progress plans to set up support sales and marketing teams in India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Singapore and China, the Global Sources Gifts & Home Show enables us to meet with potential resellers, distributors, and OEM partners that could help extend the reach and sales of our products across Asia.”

Helping things along is the fact that two of BIO-key’s biometric lock products, the TouchLock Bike Carabiner and the TouchLock TSA Plus, have been selected for the Global Sources Gifts & Home Show’s Analyst’s Choice Zone.

The event runs from April 18th to 21st at the AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong.
