WISeKey’s Preliminary Results Show Solid Growth for 2018 FY

January 18, 2019

“The company’s ISTANA security certificate solution is expected to play an important role in that growth, particularly in the Germany and China markets, as will monetization of its recently-launched WISeKey Blockchain Platform.”

WISeKey's Preliminary Results Show Solid Growth for 2018 FY

Switzerland-based IoT security solutions provider WISeKey is reporting solid revenues from its initial, unaudited fiscal results for 2018.

The company says its Cybersecurity and IoT revenues came in at $53 million, a 23 percent increase over the previous fiscal year. Elaborating on that growth in a statement, WISeKey says it saw particularly strong growth in “new sectors requiring strong security such as Connected Car, Blockchain, illicit trade, luxury industry and industrial IoT,” with its IoT semiconductor products seeing particularly strong adoption.

Looking ahead, WISeKey says its outlook for 2019 and beyond “remains strong,” with the next year expected to deliver “strong financial and operation performance” across its Cybersecurity and IoT businesses. The company’s ISTANA security certificate solution is expected to play an important role in that growth, particularly in the Germany and China markets, as will monetization of its recently-launched WISeKey Blockchain Platform.

WISeKey says it will release its official, audited report for the 2018 fiscal year on March 31st. And it will issue a revenue guidance for the 2019 fiscal year in April.
