UST is a digital transformation specialist, while VSBLTY is best known for its VisionCaptor and DataCaptor software solutions. VSBLTY’s offerings utilize computer vision and machine learning to provide retailers with more insights about their customers and their retail space. The company also provides facial recognition for additional security.
According to the terms of the new partnership, UST and VSBLTY will blend their various solutions and services to help retailers adapt to a shifting commercial landscape.
“[UST] is the perfect partner for us as we share their philosophy of committing to long-term client success while providing value and flexibility,” said VSBLTY Co-founder and CEO Jay Hutton.
“VSBLTY is on the forefront of digital transformation for retail, including at shelf digital activation, audience measurement, customer journey analytics and theft prevention,” added UST Emerging Digital Retail Technology GM Subhodip Bandyopadhyay. “This partnership will place our customers on the path of success in today’s digital landscape.”
USTl’s current clientele include 12 of the world’s top 20 retailers, so the partnership should help VSBLTY raise its profile in that industry. The company launched a retail pilot with a Canadian pharmacy at the beginning of the year, and previously came to a reseller agreement with Sensormatic Solutions in September.
More recently, VSBLTY teamed up with Photon-X to introduce thermal imaging capabilities in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
