” The aim is to offer Certis’s customers biometric solutions for a range of applications, from enterprise access control to hospitality services.”
California-based Tascent has teamed up with Certis, a Singaporean physical and data security specialist, to develop a new biometric platform to be offered as a service.
Called Certis Identity Solutions powered by Tascent, the service will incorporate the Tascent Enterprise Suite biometric software system, as well as multimodal hardware devices including Tascent Mobile and InSight One. The aim is to offer Certis’s customers biometric solutions for a range of applications, from enterprise access control to hospitality services. As Tascent explained in a statement announcing the collaboration, its solutions “will enable Certis Group to produce identity systems tailored to their customers’ needs.”
Elaborating further, Tascent Co-CEO Alastair Partington said, “By enhancing traditional identity solutions with biometrics, we can help Certis Group deliver unprecedented convenience, automation, and personalization across next-generation applications — making lives simpler and easier.”
News of the collaboration comes soon after Tascent’s announcement last month of an embeddable facial and iris recognition module – the latest iteration of its InSight One solution. As for the new Certis Identity Solutions, the companies have not offered a timeline for the platform’s launch.
