Sonavation Establishes Well-Connected Advisory Board

Sonavation Establishes Well-Connected Advisory BoardUltrasound fingerprint biometrics developer Sonavation has announced a number of appointments to its new Strategic Advisory Board (SAB), which will help to steer the company’s business and marketing strategies. Chief among the appointments are Michael Chertoff and Karl Fredrick Rauscher, who founded the SAB and will act as its Chairman.

Rauscher is the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers’ (IEEE) cyberspace policy ambassador-at-large, and previously attained valuable experience as the CTO of the EastWest Institute. Michael Chertoff, meanwhile, is the former secretary of the US Department of Homeland Security and currently runs his own security advisory firm, the Chertoff Group. Both of these individuals bring with them not only experience in relevant fields, but a wealth of contacts that could prove vital in building important business relationships.

Other appointees to the SAB include Didier Verstichel, Tam Hulusi, Timothy Stratford, Alex Rosal, John Boyd, Jim Cable, Sultan Meghji, Guang Yang, and Stephen Sadove.

The creation of the SAB and its appointments are indicative of Sonavation’s ongoing commitment to engendering a strong talent pool; early in the year, Karl Weintz, a former VP of HID Global, was appointed CEO of Sonavation, and earlier this month the company’s CTO, Rainer Schmitt, won a prestigious industry award for his innovative work on the company’s ultrasound imaging technology. That technology can currently be seen firsthand in Sonavation’s IDKEY USB device, which hit the market in January.
