RealNetworks Sets Date for 2019 FY Report

January 27, 2020

Biometrics News - RealNetworks Sets Date for 2019 FY Report

RealNetworks has set a date for the publication of its 2019 fiscal results: Wednesday, February 5th. The report will detail the company’s fiscal year, and the results for its fourth quarter specifically.

The company is a specialist in biometric security based on facial recognition with its flagship platform, SAFR. But it has an unusual revenue mix for a biometrics company, with the company also offering mobile games and music streaming, thanks to its acquisition of Napster.

RealNetworks’ results will be issued after market close on February 5th. The company has also scheduled a conference call for that day, slated to start at 1:30 p.m. PT / 4:30 p.m. ET. The call will simultaneously be broadcast on the Investor Relations section of RealNetworks’ website, and recordings of the call will be available after it has concluded.

The update will arrive soon after RealNetworks’ announcement that Cary Baker had stepped down as Chief Financial Officer, replaced by Mike Ensing on an interim basis. It also comes after RealNetworks expanded its Board of Directors from six to eight members in December. Tim Wan, who had previously worked for RealNetworks as its Director of Business Planning and Marketing, returned as a board member after holding CFO positions with Apigee and Asana; while Erik Prusch, who has laid claim to multiple CEO positions, also joined the board.
