Temporary Space will be deploying the YOUNiQ solution from Precise Biometrics to secure its portable rigs. As the name would suggest, the Nordic company provides customers with temporary work facilities, delivering module units that can be used for offices, education, healthcare, and other applications.

The partnership with Precise will allow Temporary Space to enable biometric access control on those modules. YOUNiQ is a facial recognition solution that negates the need for access cards and keys for authorized users entering the facility.
The initial contract covers 10 Temporary Space rigs, and is worth 1.5 million SEK (roughly $150,000) over a three-year period.
“Temporary Space is forced to handle hundreds of keys every day, and understands the benefits of streamlining its onboarding process,” said Precise CEO Stefan Persson. “We look forward to further discussions regarding more potential installations.”
“We believe our cooperation with Precise is a way to be in the frontline of our market’s digitalization,” added Temporary Space Sweden Manager Nina Flood.
Precise first revealed that it was testing access control applications of YOUNiQ back in August, and upgraded the platform with passive liveness detection a few months later. The Swedish company Exeger became Precise’s first YOUNiQ access control customer earlier this year.
