“…its fingerprint sensor is on the rear, in line with a trend among FPC clients reported in the company’s recent revised revenue guidance for Q3.”
Vivo’s new X20 smartphone features an FPC1035 fingerprint sensor, Fingerprint Cards has announced.
The China-based smartphone maker is a longtime Fingerprint Cards client and has integrated the latter’s biometric technology into numerous devices, with the latest before the X20 being this summer’s X9S and X9S Plus devices, each of which featured an FPC1245.
Like recent devices from industry leaders Samsung and Apple, the X20 features a minimized bezel design with an almost full-sized screen. As such, its fingerprint sensor is on the rear, in line with a trend among FPC clients reported in the company’s recent revised revenue guidance for Q3.
Other features of the new device include a rear-facing dual camera system and 12MP front-facing camera, 4GB of RAM, and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 64-bit octa-core processor. The device will go on sale in China starting September 30th.
