Biometric signature specialist iSign International has signed up a new member of its Advisory Board who could help to extend the company’s reach.
The new member, Dr. Alvin Rohrs, is the former CEO of Enactus, an NGO aimed at bringing entrepreneurial solutions to social issues.
As iSign explained in a statement announcing Dr. Rohrs’ appointment, during his 34 years at the helm of Enactus, the NGO spread from 18 universities to 1700 across 36 countries. Thus Dr. Rohrs made a lot of connections across a variety of sectors; and now the company hopes that he will introduce iSign’s solutions to “the many companies, universities, government agencies and other organizations he has relationships with.”
For his part, Dr. Rohrs appears to harbor considerable excitement his new advisory position, suggesting that iSign offers “the cybersecurity solution America and the World has been looking for.”
News of Dr. Rohrs’ appointment comes after iSign announced at the start of the year a deal that would bring its biometric signature recognition technology to AAEON’s rugged tablets.
