Security and identity solutions company IDEMIA is celebrating after its Asia Pacific office was announced as a winner in the Singapore edition of the HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia Awards 2020, an award which recognizes corporations with high employee engagement and positive workplace cultures throughout Asia.
IDEMIA, which has over 1,500 employees working in 23 sites across the region, has worked to establish a regional crisis community in response to the challenges its employees have faced as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This included access to on-site doctor consultations and bi-weekly webinars on topics like mental health for staff.
“At IDEMIA, we recognise that the success of our company is built on the success of our people. They are our greatest assets, and their wellbeing is always our first priority,” said Tim Ferris, Asia Pacific President at IDEMIA. “We are proud of our efforts to build an inclusive working environment and culture that puts our people first, and this award is a testament to the fact that we are headed in the right direction, especially in the tough and complex context of this very special year. We will continue improving our culture and environment to ensure it is capable of fully empowering our people.”
In addition to its COVID-19-focused initiatives, IDEMIA Asia Pacific also launched donation drives and environmental cleanup efforts designed to give back to local communities.
IDEMIA, which enjoyed a busy 2020 including multiple responses to the COVID-19 pandemic and the announcement of a new Chief Operating Officer in October, is looking to be off to a good start for 2021 with this week’s news that it will be partnering with the United States Postal Service to help the agency in its ongoing digitization efforts.
