HID Global has announced improvements to its Lumidigm V-Series fingerprint reading solutions.
The company says its readers are now four times faster in image capture, and have attained Minutiae Interoperability Exchange (MINEX) III certification. When used with top-ranking algorithm software, the sensors are also now five times more accurate. And they also offer FBI-certified Wavelet Scalar Quantization, which HID says enables faster image transfer.
As HID Global VP Paul Butler explains in a statement announcing the upgraded Lumidigm V-Series, the improved lineup “builds upon our world-class performance and industry-leading liveness detection while simultaneously providing a more convenient experience to users.”
The upgrades further build upon improvements to the company’s Lumidigm V-Series V4xx fingerprint biometrics solutions announced earlier this year, which HID Global showcased at the connect:ID expo. The company is showing off these newest improvements at this week’s CELAES 2016 financial security conference.
