FindBiometrics is in Tampa this week reporting live from FedID 2018, the US government’s flagship biometrics conference. On day two of the exhibition, I stopped by the NEC booth to speak with Benji Hutchinson, Vice President of Federal Operations, NEC Corporation of America. Our conversation began with a review of what NEC is showcasing at this year’s FedID before moving to the topic of the company’s key role in the ongoing Biometric Entry/Exit trails. Hutchinson went on to tell me why conferences that facilitate discussions between public and private sectors are important for the biometrics industry and we concluded with a review of the company’s excellent 2018. Following up on some of these topics, Hutchinson will be participating in next week’s Government Biometrics Month webinar.
