CyberLink Corp. has obtained the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, signifying the highest level of information security management for its FaceMe facial recognition platform.
The certification applies to the development, management, and maintenance of the platform, as well as related network and information activities within CyberLink’s R&D department.
ISO 27001 is a rigorous standard for information security, necessitating the implementation of comprehensive physical, technical, and legal controls. CyberLink has adopted numerous security measures, including encryption, firewalls, monitoring systems, network optimization, and robust risk management, to achieve compliance and assure its clients the utmost data protection.
The certification highlights CyberLink’s dedication to robust information security for its FaceMe platform, with the company emphasizing that the development environment, data transmission, and storage procedures align with and surpass regulatory standards. Partners and customers can trust that their information is protected while utilizing FaceMe technology, the company says.
“Minimizing information security risks is one of our top priorities as we strive to provide reliable service for our partners and customers to develop their AI facial recognition solutions,” said Mei Guu, President of CyberLink, Business Unit 2. “As we continue to ensure that FaceMe not only delivers the highest accuracy and performance but is also fit-for-purpose and safe to use, receiving the ISO 27001 certification formalizes this commitment.”
In late 2023, CyberLink’s FaceMe software excelled in the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s (NIST) Face Analysis Technology Evaluation (FATE) tests, ranking highest in the “Video Convenience” category for presentation attack detection (PAD).
