Zenoo Adds ID R&D Liveness Detection to Digital Onboarding Platform

March 11, 2020

Biometrics News - Zenoo Adds ID R&D Liveness Detection to Digital Onboarding Platform

Zenoo is turning to ID R&D to safeguard its digital onboarding platform. The company will specifically be deploying ID R&D’s IDLive Face solution, which adds an extra layer of passive liveness detection and is compatible with any facial recognition software.

ID R&D argues that IDLive Face is more convenient than the alternatives, largely because the solution is truly passive. IDLive Face is able to apply liveness detection to a selfie taken during the onboarding process, without the need for any other action such as a blink or a nod. As a result, the IDLive Face process has less friction than other liveness detection options, which reduces abandonment rates and makes onboarding more convenient for the end user.

“Businesses face the challenge of making the onboarding process secure without frustrating users to the point where they take their business elsewhere,” said Zenoo CEO Stuart Watkins. “ID R&D’s passive liveness check provides a way to further enhance security without sacrificing the user experience.”

“Consumers are less tolerant than ever when it comes to interactions that are time consuming and frustrating,” added ID R&D President Alexey Khitrov. “That’s why passive facial liveness is so important as part of a frictionless identity verification process.”

Zenoo’s onboarding platform compares a selfie to an official government ID to verify the identities of new users. The IDLive Face utility will be available to any Zenoo client, though the Homepie real estate app will be the first to take advantage of the solution. IDLive Face will allow Homepie sellers to verify the identities of potential buyers before touring a property.

ID R&D launched IDLive Face back in August. The solution now is compliant with the ISO 30107-3 standard after completing iBeta’s Level One Presentation Attack Detection test. Innov8tif has also integrated ID R&D’s passive liveness detection technology into its OkayFace onboarding solution.
