Precise Biometrics has announced a new licensing agreement, this time with Betterlife.
While Precise Biometrics’ licensing deals are usually for its flagship Precise BioMatch Mobile algorithm software for smartphones, and sometimes for its Precise BioMatch Embedded technology for other devices, this new agreement entails both offerings. The deal is based on an initial fee for pre-paid royalties, with further potential royalties due based on sales.
As for what products those royalties might come from, it isn’t yet clear. In a statement announcing the integration, Precise Biometrics offered no details about what kinds of Betterlife products will integrate the company’s biometric software.
In any case, Precise Biometrics CEO Håkan Persson was upbeat about the deal. “We are pleased to enter this collaboration with Betterlife that further strengthens our position as the leading supplier of fingerprint software,” he said.
