Secure is starting its own in-house education program for employees, partners, and even customers. Dubbed SecureAuth University, it’s aimed at offering IT security education and certification.
In a statement announcing the education program, SecureAuth suggested that it’s meant to address a lack of expertise in the field of IT security, citing a Gartner report that found that “66 percent of CIOs believe there is a scarcity of talent, with respondents ranking talent the top barrier to achieving their business objectives. SecureAuth University will offer online learning as well as courses led by instructors, and will offer certification at three levels, designated ‘administrator’, ‘advanced administrator’, and ‘developer’.
Much of the curricula will focus on SecureAuth IdP, the company’s flagship API platform designed to enable strong authentication for SSO. The platform was upgraded earlier this year with behavioral biometrics capabilities thanks to a partnership with BehavioSec, and was later promoted at this year’s RSA Conference.
SecureAuth has evidently already enrolled some partners in SecureAuth University classes, and in its announcement of the education program it quoted Baylor Health Care System IS team lead Jason Street as attesting, “SecureAuth University helped my team develop a better understanding of the different options within the SecureAuth IdP admin console.”
