A key witness from the 2013 Boston Marathon terror attack will be the keynote speaker at this year’s MorphoTrak Users Conference in Costa Mesa, California.
Jeff Bauman saw one of the architects of the attack place a backpack on a sidewalk moments before it exploded, and later helped the FBI to identify the suspect by recounting details about the man’s face. As such, Bauman has profound and unusual firsthand experience of the kind of identification work that is so critically important to many of MorphoTrak’s clients.
In a statement announcing Bauman as keynote speaker, MorpoTrak also highlighted his advocacy work as a survivor, noting that he has supported the Boston Medical Center Marathon Team and the Amputee Coalition’s Limb Loss Resource Center. Speaking more broadly, MorphoTrak CEO Celeste Thomasson said that “Jeff’s personal journey of recovery, and his conversion from citizen to community leader is an inspiration for all of us.”
The MorphoTrak Users Conference will take place from May 24th to May 26th; it is the 37th edition of the annual event.
