“Freedom allows for entry devices like biometric readers to be operated and managed through a building’s existing IT infrastructure. “
Security software and services provider Viscount Systems announced today that it has been awarded contracts from the U.S. Federal Government to protect facilities in New York, Montana and Indiana with its line of Freedom Access Control solutions.
Freedom allows for entry devices like biometric readers to be operated and managed through a building’s existing IT infrastructure. This concept of grandfathering existing network into a next generation physical security system is addressing adoption barriers in the area of protecting buildings.
“Validation of our Freedom Access Control technology continues to grow as the number of deployments grow,” says Dennis Raefield, Viscount’s president and CEO.
The growth Raefield mentions is readily apparent through Viscount’s industry news presence. Just in the past three months, the company has announced similar federal contracts in California, Florida, Maine, Vermont, New York and Louisiana.
Yesterday, Dennis Raefield was among the few select presenters at the invitation-only Homeland Security Leadership Summit.
Speaking about this opportunity, Raefield said: “As one of only four companies to present at this event, Viscount has a great opportunity to showcase our security technology to many of the leading security and law enforcement officials in federal, state and local agencies. Our technology is being embraced and deployed by leading federal agencies and we plan to leverage this success into the state and city marketplace as well. This event provides the right venue to reach these decision-makers.”
