It was announced today that Fingerprint Cards has recruited Jan Johannesson as Vice President, Strategic Planning and Portfolio Management. The announcement comes after Fingerprint Cards’ exceptional second quarter, which brought with it news that FPC’s Board of Directors has made the executive decision to focus on expanding the company’s staff in preparation for what it forecasts as a profitable 2014.
For qualifications, Johannesson comes from a long history of management positions in Ericsson Mobile Platforms, most recently working with ST-Ericsson in Geneva in the same role that he will be playing for FPC. Johannesson has voiced his excitement in joining Fingerprint Cards, calling the biometric solutions manufacturer a “major growth vehicle in mobile devices,” and its business objectives aggressive.
“Jan brings unique skills in understanding the complete value chain in the mobile phone industry and translating this knowledge into tools for making the right business decisions,” said Jӧrgen Lantto, Fingerprint Cards’ Executive Vice President, CTO and Head of Strategy and Product Management. “I am looking forward to be able to take advantage of Jan’s great analytical skills when preparing our strategic planning. This will help us realizing our ambitious growth plans”.
