Biometric sensor manufacturer Fingerprint Cards AB (FPC) announced two personnel changes today, saying hello to a new customer support director in Asia, and starting to bid farewell to Mats Svensson who will be stepping down from his position on the FPC Board of Directors.
Svensson will remain on the Board until a scheduled general meeting in November. Effective immediately all of his shares in Sunfloro AB (which include all class A shares in FPC) have been sold to company CEO Johan Carlström, Ola Rollén (through companies) and Lars Söderfjell.
Continuing to make good on the board’s Q2 promise to hire and expand staff in Asia, Fingerprint Cards also recruited new talent: appointing Ted Hansson as customer support director in the region.
Hansson brings 10 years of experience in building and managing tech support teams in China, Korea, Taiwan and Japan with a strong focus on working with tier one mobile customers – an area that FPC has been very aggressive in recently, announcing multiple design wins and already launching two biometric smartphones.
According to Johan Carlström, Hansson is expected to aid Fingerprint Cards in securing even more Asian design wins and accelerating launches moving forward.
