Signicat is shaking up its executive suite with a series of new internal appointments and one new hire. The Norwegian company is hoping that the changes will help fuel its growth and its ongoing expansion into international markets.
The new hire is Pinar Alpay, who has been brought on as Signicat’s new Chief Product Officer. Alpay joins the company following a stint as an SVP at Worldpay/FIS, where she made and executed strategy decisions for several of the company’s core product families. She is taking over for outgoing CPO Roger Klausen, though Klausen will be staying with the company until October to provide support for key projects. Alpay has previously held strategic roles at Bain & Company and Barclaycard International, while Klausen is leaving to pursue other opportunities.
In the meantime, Signicat has made Thijs Vink an official member of the executive team. Vink formerly served as the company’s General Manager of Benelux and Germany, but has now been promoted to Chief Central and Southern Europe. Vink worked with Oracle and Ingram Micro before joining Signicat, and will now be asked to spearhead the company’s expansion in Central and Southern Europe following several high-profile acquisitions in the past few years.
On that front, Atul Randev will be taking over as Signicat’s new Chief of M&A and Strategy. Randev has already been involved with three acquisitions since joining Signicat last May, and will now be entrusted to set the mergers strategy for the entire company.
Finally, Arne Vidar Haug is moving laterally from a position as Chief Strategy Officer to one as Chief Global Solutions. Haug is a co-founder of the company, and his new title reflects the fact that he is now focusing on international accounts spread across several different markets.
“Signicat’s exponential growth journey over the years is a validation of the growing needs of our solutions across industries and markets,” said Signicat CEO Asger Hattel. “We have a proven track record in Europe and now look forward to the next phase of our international expansion.”
Connectis and ElectronicID are some of Signicat’s more recent acquisitions. The company is best known for its extensive portfolio of digital onboarding and identity verification services.
