Reed Exhibitions has partnered with the Intelligent Transportation Society of America (ITS America) to add two new events to its portfolio. The company has officially acquired the ITS World Congress and Annual Meetings, with the former now scheduled take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center from October 4-8, 2020.
The 2020 ITS World Congress will be the first collaboration between Reed Exhibitions and ITS America. ITS America will provide content and thought leadership, while Reed Exhibitions will provide events expertise and help create more opportunities for exhibitors.
The theme for the event will be “The New Age of Mobility,” which will encapsulate technologies like connected vehicles, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. The event is expected to draw approximately 10,000 professional guests and more than 300 international exhibitors.
“For more than 25 years, ITS World Congress and Annual Meetings have been the preeminent venues for convening leaders from the public and private sectors to discuss emerging trends in transportation technology,” said ITS America President and CEO Shailen Bhatt. “This relationship will greatly expand our reach, and we look forward to connecting with more stakeholders in 2020 and beyond.”
The first ITS World Congress took place in 1993. Will Wise will oversee the ITS offerings as Reed Exhibitions’ Group Vice President of Security and Technology events.

Reed Exhibitions has more than 500 events in its portfolio, including the upcoming ISC West show in Las Vegas. This year’s ISC West is scheduled to run from March 17-20 at the Sands Expo Convention Center. FindBiometrics will be covering the event from the show floor as a Reed Exhibitions event partner.
