NEXT Biometrics Receives $100K Order From American IAM Vendor

NEXT Biometrics has received a $100,000 order from an existing customer, the company has announced.

The unnamed customer is based in the United States, and is a vendor of Identity and Access Management software and hardware. The company has order NEXT Biometrics sensors for a new product currently under development, which is scheduled for launch in the fourth quarter of this year.

In announcing the order, NEXT indicated that its US-based client serves customers in a range of areas including government, law enforcement, healthcare, education, financial services, and insurance. NEXT CEO Peter Heuman framed the order within the bigger picture of rising demand for sophisticated cybersecurity solutions.

“Given the increasing volume of cyber-related crime and the global unmet cybersecurity needs, we believe this is an interesting market segment,” he said. “Enabling new and innovative products that our customers build their future on, is how we best scale NEXT Biometrics towards success.”

The large order helps to further illustrate the versatility of NEXT’s biometric fingerprint sensors, and the range of applications they serve. In recent months NEXT has announced orders for its sensors pertaining to integrations into POS terminals, standalone fingerprint readers, and PC devices.

NEXT plans to ship the sensors for this latest order starting in June of this year.
