New Dubai Office Will Be Oz Forensics’ ‘Main Hub’

New Dubai Office Will Be Oz Forensics' 'Main Hub'

Oz Forensics is signaling its entry into a new phase of growth, announcing the opening of a new office in Dubai that will serve as its primary sales office.

Until now, the biometrics vendor’s only listed office has been in Sheridan, Wyoming. But in a statement announcing the new location, Oz Forensics co-founder and CEO Artem Gerasimov said that the new Dubai office “will represent the main hub for our business,” calling its opening “a big milestone” in Oz Forensics’ growth.

Founded in 2016, Oz Forensics specializes in face-based identity verification and liveness detection technology. It has enjoyed growing popularity in the financial services sector in particular, counting among its clients Toyota Financial Services, Kyrgyzstan’s Interbank Processing Center, Eurasian Bank, Freedom Finance, and Renaissance Credit, among others.

In Oz Forensics’ new office announcement, Gerasimov highlighted 2021 as a year of “strong growth” for the company, asserting that it now reaches “more than 18 territories worldwide”.

The company got off to a great start in 2022 as well, announcing in January that it had attained Level 2 compliance in iBeta’s Presentation Attack Detection program. iBeta’s PAD evaluation is widely considered the industry standard in independent evaluation of anti-spoofing technologies, with Level 2 of its testing program including the use of things like latex masks and three-dimensional photos to attempt to fool authentication systems into making false positives.

The company’s other co-founder, COO Svetlana Efimova, detailed Oz Forensics’ anti-spoofing technology in a FindBiometrics webinar in December of last year.

Interest in face-based biometric identity verification continues to rise, as does interest in liveness detection solutions that can counter the growing threat of spoofing attacks. For its part, in addition to its efforts in the financial services sector, Oz Forensics is also targeting opportunities in telecommunications and civil aviation.
