A new password manager aims to make users’ faces and voices the keys for password access. Called OneFaceIn, it’s available in the form of a mobile app, and uses biometric face and voice recognition for user authentication.
A source at Sensory, Inc. has confirmed that it is the company providing the biometrics on OneFaceIn. Sensory is a biometrics company specializing in contactless biometrics (voice, face, and natural speech recognition) for both authentication and user interface applications.
Last summer, OneFaceIn entered into a strategic partnership with KeyLemon, with the latter explaining at the time that it would repurpose OneFaceIn’s biometric technology for a password solution. This, however, is not that solution.
The app arrives at a time of growing excitement about mobile biometric authentication, with even major global brands like Mastercard offering their own solutions. OneFaceIn has the advantage of being multimodal, and could find some appeal among users looking for a particularly secure mobile password manager.
