BlackBerry has brought a behavioral authentication system to its enterprise security platform, with the Sentegrity app now available to all BlackBerry Dynamics users.
The app is designed to use a range of contextual factors to assess risk and regulate access control, dynamically adjusting security requirements based on analysis. One assessment might not require a password at all, while another may call for biometric authentication, and a serious threat could trigger all locally stored data on a device to be deleted.
The app joins a number of other emerging security platforms designed to assess contextual data and even behavioral biometrics such as how a user tends to tap on a mobile screen. For its part, Sentegrity says its app only kicks into operation when data is being accessed, and can perform its risk assessment in less than a second.
The app is now available to all BlackBerry Dynamics users across any OS, Sentegrity says.
