Iris biometrics developer IriTech has announced the launch of a new website and blog. The company hopes the website will offer a more advanced and customer-friendly user experience, while the blog could become a major venue for interaction with customers and the industry in general.
In a statement, the company pointed out that the new website is responsive, fast-loading, and easy to navigate. The blog, meanwhile, offers a space “where customers and experts in biometrics industry can raise their voices and share their experiences about biometrics technologies and especially iris biometrics.” A bit more transparently, the company adds that “this blog will become an effective tool to increase customer’s interaction and engagement with the company.”
That’s not a bad way to go about it. Calgary Scientific, maker of the ResolutionMD mobile medical imaging platform, has long employed a blog to raise its profile by discussing important medical issues – usually relating to medical imaging systems, of course. And NuData Security has also started getting in on the practice, using a blog to promote its behavioural biometrics technology – a nascent modality that remains unfamiliar to many. IriTech, as a serious iris recognition provider with major deployments under its belt, may indeed stand to benefit from getting its brand out there with a new blog, not to mention an improved website.
