Long time biometric security technology company ZKTeco has announced that it has completed the move from providing security products to full enterprise solutions.
The expansion was three years in the making, finally coming to fruition in October of 2013. It’s been built on ZKTeco’s strong foundation of engineering and manufacturing, and now that the market is demanding strong authentication across the verticals like never before, the company is ready to jump into the enterprises looking for next generation identity management.
Taking action to fully implement a new enterprise market strategy, ZKTeco discussed the company’s transition roadmap last October in Xiamen, Fujian, China, where all of the concern’s related software projects will be undertaken. Xiamen is home to the ZKTeco Software R&D Service Center, which in addition to being home base for said projects, will be growing substantially over the coming year, employing approximately 500 research and development staff by 2015.
So, what does this mean for ZKTeco products? According to the company, it has targeted the growing demand in the small and medium business sector for individual platforms from which all identity management operations can be administered. This being the case, the Xiamen lab is in the final processes of preparing cloud-based SaaS platforms, including data back up that will form the framework for futureZKTeco enterprise offerings.
Biometric guard patrol solutions, embedded facial recognition IP cameras, 8-channel facial recognition servers, visitor management solutions, parking systems, elevator control systems, iris recognition products, facial recognition door locks and access control embedded tripod turnstiles are what come next, all ostensibly manageable from the platform being developed, will be available to enterprises in the coming year.
