ZKAccess Launches Biometric Access Control Course

Security Pros can Benefit from Free Biometric Access Control CourseRFID and biometrics solutions provider ZKAccess has launched a new, three-credit course on Advanced Biometric Access Control, the company has announced. The course is CEU-accredited, and is meant to help physical security integrators to advance their knowledge beyond traditional card access systems.

As biometric technology continues to find its way into everyday life and applications, the course aims to teach students about how such systems work and to elaborate on their security benefits. It’s also accredited by the Electronic Security Association (ESA) and Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI), providing security integrators with a further incentive to improve their knowledge base through the free course. In terms of the specific topics the course covers, they include The History of Electronic Access Control (EAC), Privacy/Encryption Concerns in Biometric Systems, Essential Components of EAC, and more.

The course is an interesting way for ZKAccess to branch out and improve its presence in the biometric access control industry, where it’s already very active. Having recently branched off from parent company ZKTeco, ZKAccess has gone on to launch its own plug-and-play biometric door lock. With its new course, the company is likely to benefit from a heightened profile and greater brand credibility as it markets this and further offerings.
