Wacom has launched a new eSignature app for iOS and Android. Called Sign Pro PDF, the system is designed to facilitate fast and cheap electronic signature capture.
It’s aimed at business and freelance users dealing with PDF documents, and boasts of particularly robust security measures. Documents that have been scanned are then encrypted, and the system is compatible with Wacom’s Bamboo Fineline 2, an electronic pen able to capture biometrics related to writing speed and pressure exerted. Adding convenience, Sign Pro PDF can be used offline and the same document can be edited across multiple devices when a connection is available.
It’s a timely offering, given that the signature verification market is expected to grow considerably over the next few years. It appears to be particularly in demand in the healthcare sector, where new regulations are encouraging hospitals to improve their electronic records-keeping, but growth is expected in other sectors as well, with increasing demand for mobile applications in various contexts. As such, there should be a ready market for Sign Pro PDF, which is now available for purchase from Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
