Suprema is showing off its flagship compact fingerprint scanner at the SDW 2017 event today.
The BioMini Slim 2 was first announced late last year. Suprema says that with its 16mm optical sensor, the device is the world’s slimmest fingerprint scanner. It offers support for Android devices and meets FBI PIV/FIPS 201 and Mobile ID FAP 20 standards, and it’s IP65-rated to ensure durability against water. Also important is the device’s built-in liveness detection technology.
In a statement, Suprema ID Managing Director Bogun Park said that after the device’s launch, Suprema entered into new strategic partnerships “with a number of leading ID solution providers” in the US and Europe. The solution is evidently a popular one, and should prove to be a draw at SDW 2017, a conference and exhibition dedicated to identity technologies.
SDW 2017 started on June 26th and runs until June 28th in London, with Suprema showcasing its BioMini Slim 2 at stand #B16.
