Suprema has announced CoreStation, its latest biometric access control solution.
Calling it “an intelligent door controller”, Suprema says CoreStation can serve a user base of 500,000, and offers matching speeds of 400,000 per second. The system offers Ethernet connectivity, and also supports RS-485(ODSP) and Wiegand communications. And the system operates on Suprema’s BioStar 2 software platform.
In a statement announcing CoreStation, Suprema Global Business Director Hanchul Kim explained that it’s “designed to fulfill the demand of biometric technology within the more-secure, larger scale access control applications with centralized topology,” adding later that it should offer Suprema customers “more choices and flexibility in designing their security systems.”
Suprema plans to showcase the solution at the IFSEC 2017 security exhibition next week, where it will also show off its new BioStar 2 Mobile Card solution.
