Google’s Waze driver navigation app now features voice activation functionality thanks to the integration of Sensory Inc. technology.
Thanks to Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree system, Waze users can now activate the app by saying “OK Waze,” and can proceed with commands such as, “Find an alternate route,” or, “Drive home.” And of course users can also ask for valuable information, such as, “When will I arrive at my destination?” or “What turn should I take?”
It’s a logical feature for an app designed to help users as they’re driving. In a statement announcing the integration, Sensory CEO Todd Mozer proclaimed his affinity for the app, but noted that “without a passenger in the car I don’t utilize all the features because I avoid touching the screen while driving.” Adding Sensory’s voice activation technology was thus “the perfect solution” for this issue.
