Samsung ARTIK to Offer Sensory TrulyHandsfree Support

January 4, 2016

Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree solution will be supported by the Samsung ARTIK platform, the company has announced.

Samsung ARTIK to Offer Sensory TrulyHandsfree Support

TrulyHandsfree is Sensory’s flagship speech recognition system, and was updated late last summer to use deep learning technology to filter out background noise, among other improvements. ARTIK, meanwhile, is Samsung’s chip line for the Internet of Things, offering developers the building blocks to put together a variety of IoT solutions.

The combination of these technological platforms, then, offers some pretty clear advantages, particularly with respect to its capabilities in voice activation and voice command. In a statement announcing the support, Sensory CEO Todd Mozer also suggested that the system will be used for authentication, another capability that could be increasingly important as the IoT develops and proliferates.

Sensory’s TrulyHandsfree technology will be demonstrated in Samsung ARTIK applications at the Samsung Strategy and Innovation Suite at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show, which is taking place this week in Las Vegas.
