Redmi Note 4X Features Precise Biometrics Algorithm Software

February 16, 2017

Precise Biometrics‘ algorithm software has been integrated into the Redmi Note 4X, a new smartphone from Xiaomi.

Redmi Note 4X Features Precise Biometrics Algorithm SoftwareThe device is a sequel to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4, which also made use of Precise Biometrics’ Precise BioMatch Mobile fingerprint algorithm software. Indeed, Xiaomi is a longtime integrator of Precise Biometrics software, with multiple other devices having integrated its biometric technology.

Like those deployments, this latest comes by way of longtime hardware partner Fingerprint Cards, whose FPC1035 sensor provides the fingerprint scanning hardware for the Redmi Note 4X.

While Precise Biometrics’ CEO indicated in the company’s recent corporate update that market challenges could reduce revenues from mobile integrations during the first half of this year, the new Xiaomi device integration offers an encouraging sign of the continued dynamism in the mobile fingerprint biometrics market.
