Physical Access Month has come to an end here at FindBiometrics. April’s featured theme was a big one – a five week examination of biometric physical access control. All month we brought you news, featured articles and exhibition coverage dealing with physical access control, all of which culminated in an exclusive webinar event.
Here is a look back on all the things that had us talking about physical access in April.
Balancing Convenience and Security
April’s main event was “Balancing Security and Convenience in Biometric Access Control” – an exclusive webinar panel with guest experts Gary Jones, Director of Biometric Access and Time Solutions Business Unit – MorphoTrak (Safran), and Mark Clifton, President of the Products and Solutions Division – SRI International.
If you were unable to attend the dynamic biometric physical access discussion, the recording can be found below.
ISC West 2015
April is all about physical access for more reasons than our featured content schedule, the month is also when the ISC West security conference and exhibition is held in Las Vegas. FindBiometrics was there, bringing you coverage from the exhibition floor. Below you will find the biggest ISC West biometrics industry news items as well as exclusive video featuring the conference’s big biometric players.
Modalities and Mobility
In the featured articles section this month, we kicked things off with a primer on physical access control, looked a little deeper into the four major biometric modalities in the market, and examined how mobility is changing strong authentication based security. Follow the links below to see how the conversation of physical access month developed throughout April.
As usual, our month-long focus proved to be an active topic in the identity management industry as a whole. Outside of ISC West and our featured focus, the headlines were filled with biometric security news. Alliances were joined, new products were unveiled and market research continued to surface, painting a rosy picture of the future for physical access control and biometric technology.
