NEXT Biometrics Receives More Orders for Aadhaar-Certified Technology

NEXT Biometrics Receives More Orders for Aadhaar-Certified Technology

NEXT Biometrics will continue to be a major player in the Indian market now that the company has received more orders for its Aadhaar-certified fingerprint technology. The fingerprint sensors will be used in a slew of Aadhaar applications, including Aadhaar’s biometric payment system and its Jeevan Pramaan pension service.

NEXT’S fingerprint sensors are being sold through a distribution partnership with AqTronics Technologies.

“Application developers and system integrators opt for NEXT’s sensor technology because of its reliable performance and seamless integration,” said Harinath Gupta, Director Sales of AqTronics.

“We are very pleased about the new orders and the growing presence we are gaining in the market,” added NEXT CEO Ritu Favre. “We look forward to growing our business relationship with this experienced and renowned team.”

NEXT Biometrics announced its first batch of orders through AqTronic in August, and has since forged partnerships with the point-of-sale specialists MobiOcean and Telpo. The latest announcement indicates that that trend is likely to continue as NEXT expands its foothold in the Indian market.
