NEC will participate in INTERPOL World 2017, the company has announced.
The international police consortium bills the event as an opportunity for government and business organizations, as well as policy specialists, to confer on innovative approaches to fighting crime, and to show off new solutions. Thus for NEC the event represents an opportunity to showcase solutions like NEC the WISE, the company’s new AI platform that features facial and acoustic recognition, as well video analytics. And the company says its NeoFace facial recognition platform will play a role in managing entry to the event, a considerable opportunity given that last autumn INTERPOL named Safran Identity & Security (now OT-Morpho) its official facial recognition partner.
INTERPOL and NEC appear to enjoy a close relationship, with NEC having recently supported a digital security workshop organized by INTERPOL. The company also attended the 85th ICPO-INTERPOL General Assembly Exhibition last November.
At INTERPOL World 2017, NEC Corporation of America’s Senior Director of Advanced Recognition Systems will give a talk on ambient security on July 5th, and NEC Corporation Global Safety Division Evangelist Daniel Lim will speak on digital identity on July 6th.
INTERPOL World 2017 runs from July 4th to 7th in Singapore.
