Israel Diamond Exchange Selects IMID for Security

multimodal biometricsFST Biometrics‘ unique multimodal system is coming to the Israel Diamond Exchange. It’s going to be used to secure the entrance of IDE’s newest polishing facility.

The polishing facility processes millions of dollars in diamonds every day, and also hosts visitors and, of course, staff. It’s a big, expensive undertaking, and as such, IDE was looking for a high-level security solution that wouldn’t slow down operations. FST’s IMID solution fit the bill.

IMID, or In-Motion Identification, is a system combining face, voice, and motion pattern recognition into one passive system. It was recently integrated into a luxury athletic and social club in Canada, where its technology provided an enhanced ease of access to club members, who no longer need to worry about carrying around fobs or keys; and so this kind of highly accurate passive identification was seen as a perfect fit for IDE’s needs.

Speaking in a press release, IDE Director of Security Israel Vantosovski said that the company was looking for “the highest level of security without slowing down operations,” and asserted, “Having experienced the technology in action, we are confident that FST Biometrics’ IMID Access is the most secure and effective solution available.”
