Fingerprint Cards CEO Christian Fredrikson speaks to FindBiometrics at MWC 2017 about the recent Delta ID acquisition and what’s next for FPC.
Last week at Mobile World Congress 2017, FindBiometrics President Peter O’Neill met with Christian Fredrikson, CEO, Fingerprint Cards, for an interview. MWC 2017 served as a massive stage for fingerprint biometrics innovation, and FPC was a major part of the festivities. The company announced a large number of mobile device integrations, including the first-ever fingerprint sensor embedded in a smartphone keyboard (on the BlackBerry KEYone), and it also unveiled FPC SenseTouch – a solution that enables pressure sensitivity on the company’s line of sensor products. The conversation deals with the market drivers for fingerprint biometrics in the age of IoT, the recent industry-shaking acquisition of iris biometrics company Delta ID, and what’s next for FPC over the next few years as the company ambitiously seeks to become the industry leader in all biometrics.
