Interim CFO Appointed By Precise Biometrics

Precise Biometrics Appoints Interim CFOPrecise Biometrics has found an interim CFO to replace Bo-Göran Jaxelius when he steps down this summer, the company has announced. As reported previously, Jaxelius unexpectedly announced his pending departure last month, citing family reasons.

His successor will be Tommy Nilsson, starting June 1st and carrying forward to the end of 2015 as Precise Biometrics continues to look for a permanent CFO (though he may stay on longer if all parties wish). Nilsson has held management positions at a number of firms including Brio, Malmö Aviation, Läckeby Water Group, Munters and others. In a press release announcing the appointment, Precise Biometrics CEO Håkan Persson welcomed Nilsson to the team, adding that he’s confident “that his valuable experience will strengthen our operational focus further.”

The appointment should help Precise Biometrics to maintain a steady course as it steers out of a fiscal quarter that saw losses. The company now has an opportunity to build momentum, having recently won acclaim from Frost & Sullivan and another major contract with the US Department of Defense, so Nilsson will be climbing aboard at a good time.
