Integrated Biometrics is seeing increased interest in its technology, the company has announced. In a press release, Integrated Biometrics credited the rising interest to “events surrounding immigration, border security, and terrorism”.
In outlining this interest, CEO Mike Grimes highlights his company’s recent participation in international industrial events like Biometrics and Identity 2015, CARTES Secure Connexions 2015, EU LISA, ISC East, and more. “Any company can point to increased sales, which we are seeing,” he said, “but the amount of time our team is spending participating in symposia, conferences, and tradeshows all over the world is a substantive example of the industry clamoring for our leadership in building advanced biometric enrollment and verification products.”
Grimes also points out that the company was recognized by the Institute for Defense and Government Advancement (IDGA) at the 10th Annual Homeland Security Week in Arlington, Virginia, an honor that “was particularly satisfying and humbling because it was completely unexpected, and especially since it came in an industry space dedicated to protecting our nation.”
The company says most of the interest it has been seeing has focused on its light emitting sensor (LES) film technology for fingerprint scanning, which creates a low electrical current upon scanning that produces a high-resolution image. The technology has been implemented in devices like Integrated Biometric’s Columbo fingerprint scanner, and has seen international deployments. Given the interest that continues to build over this kind of technology, the company should see continued success in 2016.
