IDEX has announced that it will hold its Annual General Meeting on May 9th, and will issue its Q1 results immediately after its conclusion.
The Q1 results will follow a recently issued 2017 report which outlined lower revenues and widening losses as the company struggled against competitive pressures that have generally depressed margins in the mobile biometrics market, and as it sought to make the heavy investments required to pursue the emerging biometric smart cards market.
The latter is likely to be the key focus of IDEX’s forthcoming Q1 report, with IDEX having announced in January that it would focus all of its resources on biometric cards, and having announced last month that it has a contact-based payment card in the final stages of certification. The company may also mention the appointment in February of its former Chief Products Officer, Stan Swearingen, as its new CEO, which at the time was framed as the beginning of “a new volume commercialisation phase” for its biometrics cards.
IDEX’s upcoming AGM will be held at the Vika Atrium Conference Centre in Oslo and is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM CET, with Swearingen to present its Q1 report at 9:30 or after the AGM’s conclusion.
