Gemalto is getting a new Chief Financial Officer. The company has announced that Virginie Duperat-Vergne will take the company’s fiscal reigns at the start of next year.
Duperat-Vergne replaces Jacques Tierny, who has been with the company for a decade, and will undergo an introduction and transition process under his guidance beginning October 16th. Tierny’s role will officially come to an end on December 31st of this year, with Duperat-Vergne taking his place immediately on January 1st, 2018.
Duperat-Vergne comes to the company from a previous position as Group Deputy Chief Financial Officer of TechnipFMC, an oil and gas consultancy. And she joins the company after a substantial expansion with its acquisition of 3M Cogent earlier this year. In a statement announcing her pending position with Gemalto, CEO Philippe Vallée said Duperat-Vergne “will contribute significantly to the on-going transformation of the Company and the new challenges that come with it.”
In its statement, the company also lauded Tierny for his “10 years of dedicated and exemplary service.” Tierny has decided to leave the company “to pursue other activities,” Gemalto said.
