With the lack of a cybersecurity incident response plan, BFSI, Government, Oil&Gas, and other industries have a battle on their hands to tackle these threats. #KSCS18 will bring together cybersecurity experts from around the globe with focus on creating strategies which seek to strengthen the IT infrastructure in the region.

A new report by Siemens and The Ponemon Institute shows that 30% of cyberattacks in the Middle East target operational technology networks, and half of all cyberattacks are against oil & gas networks. In the past year, few issues posed bigger risks to organizations as cyber threats. The attack on Saudi Aramco that came through as a wake up call, expanded Saudi Arabia’s cyber security market by 30%, drawing heavy investments from both government and private sectors. Today, diverging cyber threats highlight the need for advanced anitivirus, surveillance, electronic detection, cyber-attack alarms and cyber intrusion prevention technologies. This year’ s edition of Kingdom Cyber Security 2018 will focus on boosting cyber resilience at the national level; opportunities, risks and contradiction of blockchain technology; security of smart cities; cloud security and security of the IoT. Fleming is also proud to host top cyber security leaders from some of the biggest players in the region such as Eng. Naveed ShafeekAhmed – General Department for Security Control, National Information Centre, Presidency of State Security, KSA (Information Security & IT Governance Consultant); Mohammed Ali Mahnashi – Deputy Minister of Technology (ICT Consultant); Eng. Majed Mohammad Alshodari – KSA (Certified Chief Information Security Officer and Licensed IT Consultant).
